  • 1,2-Indanedione, 100mL

An extremely sensitive amino acid reported to develop 46% more latents than DFO. The consistency and quality make this the best in the industry. 99% purity. These items are not eligible for return.

  • Indanedione 1 gram

Develop latent prints for a fraction of the price of DFO with Indanedione! This one gram bottle will give you the ability to capture numerous fingerprints off of porous surfaces. When used with proper lighting, Indanedione can visualize prints as well, if not better, than other methods like DFO. A recent study showed that Indanedione developed 46% more identifiable fingerprints than DFO on actual exhibits! For proper use and storage, Indanedione should be prepared for use shortly before needed. Storing prepared Indanedione for long periods of time will alter the chemical structure, making it less effective than freshly prepared Indandione. Indanedione is not intended for use on poor-quality papers such as newspaper, cardboard or recycled paper.

  • Leuco Crystal Violet

Leucocrystal Violet reacts with the heme-group in blood to give a violet color. Its application can be used to identify bloodstains that are not visible and to enhance and provide additional contrast to bloodstain patterns that are visible. This reagent contains hydrogen peroxide, so if used on heavy bloodstains foaming may result and cause loss of detail. Leucocrystal violet is typically used on porous surfaces. These items are not eligible for return.

    • Ninhydrin Forensic Solution

Ninhydrin is one of the easiest and most effective methods for developing latent prints on paper. Many latent print examiners use Ninhydrin exclusively on paper because of its effectiveness and/or their lack of a proper setup for DFO. Ninhydrin should always be used in fume hood or with an appropriate filter mask.
      • Very economical
      • Can also be mixed with 3M Novec Engineered Fluid HFE-7100 for a less toxic and non-flammable solution
      • Crystals have an indefinite shelf life
      • Working solution is one year

      • Ninhydrin

This pre-mixed Ninhydrin reacts with the amino acids in latent print residues to form a purplish blue stain. Commonly used to process paper items. Won't cause inks to run or bleed. Use a common steam iron to accelerate results. Available in an 8 oz spray bottle or a 1 gallon jar.

          • p-DMAC Paper

Preferred method for processing thermal paper and items sensitive to heat. May be used on any porous item needing latent development. May be especially useful on colorful backgrounds since there is high fluorescence when viewed with ALS. Best results usually visualized between 475nm and 515nm with an orange barrier filter or glasses. Shelf life: 6 months. To extend longevity of this protect always store in the provided amber sleeve. EXCELLENT FOR PROCESSING PRINTS ON CURRENCY! These items are not eligible for return.

          • RAY Reagent

RAY dye stain is a fluorescent mixture of Rhodamine, Ardrox, and Basic Yellow. Use RAM with a forensic light source after processing with cyanoacrylate. Particularly useful in the enhancement of CA developed prints on plastic bags. RAM enhanced latent prints are visualized between 415 nm and 530 nm, making it ideal for use with a wide variety of forensic light sources. *(h) - Additional hazardous shipping fee applies, call for details. • Rhodamine 6G

Rhodamine 6G is one of the best dyes to use with cyanoacrylate developed latents and a laser or forensic light source. Available as a premeasured concentrate to be mixed with one liter of solvent. *(h) - Additional hazardous shipping fee applies, call for details. These items are not eligible for return.
