Develop latent prints for a fraction of the price of DFO with Indanedione! This one gram bottle will give you the ability to capture numerous fingerprints off of porous surfaces. When used with proper lighting, Indanedione can visualize prints as well, if not better, than other methods like DFO. A recent study showed that Indanedione developed 46% more identifiable fingerprints than DFO on actual exhibits!
For proper use and storage, Indanedione should be prepared for use shortly before needed. Storing prepared Indanedione for long periods of time will alter the chemical structure, making it less effective than freshly prepared Indandione.
Indanedione is not intended for use on poor-quality papers such as newspaper, cardboard or recycled paper.
