Leucocrystal Violet reacts with the heme-group in blood to give a violet color. Its application can be used to identify bloodstains that are not visible and to enhance and provide additional contrast to bloodstain patterns that are visible. This reagent contains hydrogen peroxide, so if used on heavy bloodstains foaming may result and cause loss of detail. Leucocrystal violet is typically used on porous surfaces.

When this "liquid fingerprint powder" is sprayed onto the surface of the evidence, the micro-fine particles attach themselves to the latent print residues and the solution runs off. Lifts can be made directly without further processing. Wet Print kit includes 16 oz. of the Wet Print solution and an empty 16 oz. container for a rinsing solution. Ideal for items found in the rain or in a stream.
Preferred method for processing thermal paper and items sensitive to heat. May be used on any porous item needing latent development. May be especially useful on colorful backgrounds since there is high fluorescence when viewed with ALS. Best results usually visualized between 475nm and 515nm with an orange barrier filter or glasses.
Shelf life: 6 months. To extend longevity of this protect always store in the provided amber sleeve.
EXCELLENT FOR PROCESSING PRINTS ON CURRENCY!
